Chromotropic, yellow sticky traps.
Their color attracts and traps insects in greenhouses, olive groves, fruit trees, gardens, and vegetable crops.
They trap the Mediterranean fruit fly, the olive fruit fly, thrips, mealybugs, aphids (honeydew), leafhoppers, flower thrips, leafminers, storage insects, eudemis, the elutela moth, mosquitoes, eggs and larvae (caterpillars) of Lepidoptera, larvae, flies, leafhoppers, vegetable weevils, wasps, leaf rollers, fleas.
They are also used with good results against the cherry fruit fly (Ragoleta).
Non-toxic – no poisons.
These traps can be used as an indicator of the insect population in crops.
Hang the traps every 2–2.5 meters, depending on the size of the plants.
